We Have Been Attacked. We Are At War

Recently, Morgan Freeman made a dramatic video, trying to rile people up and convince them that because “Russia hacked the election,” we have been attacked and are at war.

According to an article from RT titled “‘We’re at war’: ‘Committee to Investigate Russia’ weaponizes Morgan Freeman in anti-Moscow hysteria”:

“Hollywood actors often speak their minds about domestic politics, but now some in Tinseltown are also joining the anti-Russian chorus, accusing Moscow of using “hacking, Twitter armies, and fake news” to interfere with the US election.

The major player in the campaign is actor-director Rob Reiner, who joined up with The Atlantic’s senior editor David Frum – a former adviser to George W. Bush – and former national intelligence director James Clapper, among others, to launch the non-profit ‘Committee to Investigate Russia’ (CIR).

This is the same James Clapper who said there was no evidence of Russian interference in the election, though he later changed his story.

Hollywood’s Morgan Freeman also jumped on board, making a two-minute video for the CIR in which the actor blatantly accuses Moscow of interfering in the election. “

He was put up to this by Rob Reiner, a person who was probably paid himself to found the website “Investigate Russia.org” to expose how Russia hacked the election.

The purpose of this article is not to promote some wide-eyed, infantile awe at the man’s statement as so many clickbaity articles would. It is quite the opposite: people need to wise up to videos like this and understand that if you’re getting a message like this from a high profile celebrity, 99.9% of the time it has an agenda, and it’s in with the system, you could say.

Do people really expect to believe Morgan Freeman honestly sat down, thought about what issues in the world are most worthy of talking about in a video, and decided Russia hacking the 2016 election was the most pressing, honestly important issue he could possibly think of? The only thing he thought of was a paycheck.

This article can’t even begin to scratch the surface of how unimportant and ridiculous the “Russia hacked the election” thing is. Donald Trump, first of all, is on the same team as Hillary Clinton: it’s a false dichotomy. If you don’t already know this, you may never know.

Anyone with the slightest sense for manipulative behavior can easily identify this statement of Morgan Freeman’s as disingenuous.

But he got one thing right: we are at war. We’re at war with the ruling classes of this planet who funnel money to pay Freeman to make videos about distractions. Freeman is like the fool’s gold of intellectuals: he just has a narrator’s voice, that’s it.

Now if you want to listen to a real celebrity warning about how “we are at war,” listen to Rob Schneider. He’s not getting paid to say this, and it goes against the grain of his own money making. That’s how you know when a celebrity is being honest trying to warn about some danger: when it’s not benefiting them in any way to speak out against it, and they end up being criticized for it.

The truth is always, always persecuted in this day. Be careful who you trust in Hollywood.
